Reinhard Müller, industry as inspiration

1957 –

Reinhard Müller first studied industrial design, then sculpture under Professor Anton Berger at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Cologne, where he met Ralph Sommer.

Reinhard Müller is known for creating, in collaboration with Meyer Voggenreiter, the Diwan armchair (1989), a chaise longue on bicycle wheels, and the iconic Bibliothek (1988), resembling a cage-like reading room.

Independently, he designed the Fluo chair and table set (1985), the Pentagon-Stühle armchairs (1987), and the Chambre-à-Air-Regal bookshelf (1987), presented in Kassel at the Café Casino.
